Youth (Future Tritons) Program

WELCOME TO THE YOUTH (FUTURE TRITONS) BASKETBALL PROGRAM!

Future Tritons Basketball will embrace and uphold the mission of Notre Dame Academy.  We will be a group that the community can be proud of.  At Notre Dame Academy we work at developing the whole individual.  Our players will strive to grow as people and as players during their time with us.

This program will emphasize the basketball skill development of our players.  Future Tritons Basketball will run the same offensive and defensive systems that are run by the high school teams at Notre Dame Academy.  Our coaches will be tasked with developing the individual skill of our players and also teaching the players how to compete, play together, and support one another.  We want our players to grow in both their physical abilities and their mental approach during their time in Future Tritons Basketball.

Program Overview for 2023-2024 Season (see registration link at end)

  • Our program is open to any student that is considering or planning to attend NDA and hopes to play basketball in high school.

  • Students in grades 3-8 are eligible to participate in the program.

  • The season will run November - March, with some variation per grade level.  The first games will be held in December.

  • The number of teams we field at each grade level will be based on the total number of players that choose to participate from each grade level.

  • Teams will play a mix of league games and tournaments throughout the season.

  • For league we play in the BADL (Bay Area Development League).   We anticipate BADL scheduling each team for 6-7 dates of play over the December - February timeframe, with 2-3 games occurring each date of play.

  • The tournaments for each grade level will be selected by the grade level coaches and will be mindful of various scheduling and competitive considerations.  We anticipate providing each player the opportunity to play in 3-4 tournaments.

  • For both league and tournament events, games will likely occur Friday evenings, Saturday or Sunday.

  • We are targeting 2-3 practices per week for each grade level.  Practices for all grade levels will typically be held at NDA on Sunday afternoons/evenings and Wednesday evenings.  For some grade levels and/or certain weeks during the season there may potentially be additional practice days/time/locations.

  • Coaches attempt to  coordinate program schedules with “school ball” when seasons overlap.

  • Program registration fees for this season are $225 for players in grades 3-6 and $250 for players in grades 7-8.  The higher cost for players in grades 7-8 helps the program pursue additional practice slots for these grade levels at venues where we must pay for gym time.

  • If registering more than one child within your household, there is a $25 discount on registration fees for the second and subsequent registrations.

  • Jersey and shorts are to be purchased during registration.  The jersey and shorts can be worn for multiple years.

  • To provide an improved fit experience for players in grades 8, we anticipate players obtaining a reversible jersey that can be used for all Youth (Futures Triton) program events and then again in high school as a practice jersey.  Once registered the program will provide more details regarding the process for ordering a new jersey (estimated cost ~$45).

The Registration "Youth (Future Tritons) Program" is not currently available.
